This is the first room one encounters upon entering the apartment. The main peculiarity is the height of the ceiling of wooden beams that meets a fresco on the front wall, depicting angels.
The desk is located under the window overlooking Vicolo dei Barbuti, one of the two entrances to the Palace, and specifically on the side wall of the now deconsecrated Church of Santa Maria dei Barbuti. The name Barbuti comes from the appellation given to the Lombards who dwelt in Salerno between 500 and 600 AD.
From the same window it is possible to glimpse in the distance the Castle of Arechi II, located atop Mount Bonadies 300 meters above sea level.
A composition of ceramics set into the "Cotto Salernitano" flooring completes the environment.
His window has an outlook unlike any other, on a typical Salerno "alley." At Salerno, narrow alleys with arches above them,
are a widespread feature in the historic center
so much so that the historic city boasts of a
vast pedestrian area thanks to which it is possible to reach most places of interest in complete serenity, far from the city traffic.
The kitchen has been designed trying to accord the
modern domestic needs with the concept of a period kitchen, and examples of this are the choice of ceramic finishes; the wrought iron finishes, the
wooden hood and the suspended sideboard.
The double room, with two overlooks, one on Larghetto Fra' Giovanni, the other on the inner alley,
has a double bed and an additional single bed.
The unique feature of the room is to be found in the upper part: the ceiling in beams of
wood and the portion of the wall below are
covered with historical frescoes and wall hangings that were
taken up with restoration work by the Superintendence
of Salerno and Avellino.
The environment is warm and
cozy with long curtains (red and white) and Cotto Salernitano Flooring.
The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioner that allows it to reach
an optimal room temperature in all
seasons.

The second double room overlooks
onto "Vicolo dei Barbuti" and the color
predetermining is definitely green.
Green are the curtains, the vaulted ceiling
that runs lengthwise through the
bedroom, and green are the ceramic tiles in the en suite bathroom.
The room has a comfortable walk-in
closet and is equally equipped with air
conditioning.
The bathroom, directly connected to the
"Volta" bedroom, is equipped with a
particular bathtub that has been
obtained by exploiting the space of the building's water cistern, which was used
in the past to collect water and then use it when needed in case of
extraordinary events.
The ceramics in
both bathrooms are signed Solimene,
one of the most renowned factories of
ceramics, especially at the
international level, which is still active today and
is located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in the town of Vietri.

The bathroom is located in the corridor that
connects the two bedrooms.
It shares the mirror wall with the
laundry service room with inside a second service sink.
The bathroom was recently
renovated and has been designed with a
large, modern and bright shower. The
prevailing color is ultramarine blue, which characterizes the entire shower room and which can be glimpsed in the patterns of the ceramics in the rest of the bathroom.
